But what is the difference between Rubberbase and BIAB?
Often Rubberbase is also called BIAB or builder in a bottle because you can also build a bit with Rubberbase, but actually this refers to BIAB as in builder gel and is therefore builder gel in a bottle.
The differences are therefore big. Rubberbase belongs to the gel Polish family and BIAB to the gel family. This means they also have the properties of that family. You can use both to make nail reinforcements, but BIAB can only be removed with a file and Rubberbase has soakable properties like Gel Polish, although this is not often done or even advised against unless necessary.
